Anyone know if the tram in Palm Springs  allows you to take the tram earlier than the the ticket time? I bought 6pm ( thats all they had) and hoping to go around noon. Anyone with experience?

fyi- They allowed me to get on an earlier tram. Seems like as long as the tram has space, they will allow. I went before noon, which probably helped.

I'm looking into Palm Springs as the destination for our anniversary getaway in June. Visited for a few hours a few years ago and vowed to come back if only for the gorgeous scenery.
I have a few questions for those who have been there recently:

Is the only option for food to buy from LA or from a store like Ralph's? We generally don't go anywhere that doesn't have easy access to a restaurant or at the very least a kosher takeout that can warm the food up for us. I've heard of ppl buying pre-double wrapped meals and having the hotel warm it up, but have zero experience with that. Would the JW Marriott do that for us? Or do any of the chabads provide meals? We're not going to go if it means we'll be stuck without any hot food at all during our trip.

Also wondering what activities one can do there? We're really just looking to relax but want to know options in case we go stir crazy.

Lastly, I don't know which chabad is closer to the JW, but whichever that is, is it guaranteed to have daily minyanim?

Any additional info you feel would be useful for us to know would be so helpful! TIA!

Oh I didn't even think of that! Early June is already hot? Would you compare it to Florida temps in the summer?

Finally settled on a family trip plan!

Now my questions...
Anyone's been to The Westin Ranch Mirage Resort? Honest reviews anyone? Resort grounds and amenities seem stunning, especially for the kids. Room reviews and service there I got very  mixed info.
What's the current food situation there? Where can I get updated food info? What about Minyanim? Is Chabad of Palm Springs the only place that has three steady minyanim?
How long is the drive from LAX in real time? Is it worth it staying on the waterfront in LA overnight? If yes, where would you recommend we stay. (With two young children)

Family photography in Palm Springs? Recommendation for a photographer? Thanks Dan for the inspiration  to do this  on family vacations.

Thank you!

can only (partially) answer first question, I booked the Exec. Suite for fam member (with points and SNU) and they said it was fabulous.
