What's the weather like end of January? Sit at the pool weather?
It's definitely not pool weather now. Keep in mind PS is not Miami. It's usually colder in the winter, especially in the morning and evening.

Supposed to rain for full two days while I'm in Palm Springs next week. Is there ANYTHING to do on a rainy day? Is the tram worth the trip in the rain? Thanks

I am  going next week to PS  for the first time and I booked 3 hotels/villas and I need some help to decide which one to keep .

1) Marriott's Shadow Ridge I-The Villages

 2) The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas

3) Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

I will not be there for shabbos so I don't have to be close to a minyen . any advice would be appreciated , TIA

I've stayed at #2 as well, good sized rooms for your money and decent location. The property itself is a bit of a hassle because there are so many buildings and you can spend 5-10 minutes sometimes just driving from parking to the street.
I'm an optimist; but only because life isn't going to give me any other good choices.

The tram is great with proper clothing. It is currently snow covered at the top. Bring a waterproof parka.

If anyone wants I have credit for these 3 houses which are all within walking distance of Chabad:

https://www.vrbo.com/314947
https://www.vrbo.com/880458
https://www.vrbo.com/323377

I can get you a discount off those rates if you're interested in one of them.

None have indoor pools. Some spas have indoor hot tubs.

All the good ones have heated pools. Generally average high temperatures are in the mid-to-upper 70s and often 80s, but we've been having a cold and rainy spell.

Not sure if this is the right thread. I usually rent a villa in Orlando for Pesach, this year I am considering Palm Springs... any guidance would be appreciated.
Which areas should I be looking at to be close to a minyan? Are there gatherings of Jews there for Pesach as there is in Orlando? Any local resources for one stop kosher groceries?

Look at the wiki first. Then ask questions

Frost advisory in effect. Supposed to be 30 degrees overnight. Not unusual for the area but doesn't happen very often.

What is the best spg property to go to for a weekday night or 2? Not to exceed 10-12k points per night.
