What is the best spg property to go to for a weekday night or 2? Not to exceed 10-12k points per night.
Westin Mission Hills Villas (or hotel but villas are my preferred).

You could also look at tranferring points  to Marriott at 1:3.

Which Merritt property would you recommend?

Do you want a hotel or a villa? How much do you want to spend? Do you have kids? What type of amenities are important to you?

We live here. My wife and I and two small children do staycations all the time at all the resorts in the area. I've been to each and every one of them many times. We also go to some of them for just dinner or spa treatments.

Define "better"... what are you looking for and who are you traveling with and what do you want to do.?

La Quinta resort which is the Waldorf Astoria property is phenomenal. So is the Ritz-Carlton.

If you want an SPG property that is got a lot of old-time Palm Springs Flair to it than you want the Parker Palm Springs.

Last time we stayed at the mission hills in a villa. Full kitchen. Dinett table and living room and bedroom. Better means. With a private pool , bigger living space

Me, my wife and a 1 year old,
And maybe another couple , in a separate unit

There's packaged food in Ralphs and the typical CBTL offerings (not CY).

Good luck. Do yourself a favor and just bring food from LA before you go. You'll be better off.

For groceries use amazon fresh. Tons of kosher and you dont have to waste vacay time shopping. Happy to share a secret that can't be killed :)
I'm an optimist; but only because life isn't going to give me any other good choices.

BUMP  and rewriting the question

For a mid-week stay (can drive to minyan)

What part of town should we look for a house, North, South, Central or doesn't matter as long a propriety looks good?

Any areas to avoid?

Why go to PS for mid-week?

LA has all the activities, restaurants, etc.

PS is great for a weekend though.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I'll give you the whole story!

I'm flying to SFO and was going to spend there  2 days and then drive the PCH to LA. on a Sun-Thur trip
Unfortunately, a big part of PCH is closed. Whether in SFO doesn't look too good for next week nether.

So I was going to do 1-2 days in SFO and fly to PSP. I have been to LAX and SAN. Im not a food person.

Going to drive back to LAX and spend a few hours before we leave.
