There is a beautiful jw Marriott in palm desert that's worth checking out . there are flamingos on the property .
They have gandolas that will take you in and around the property .

if i take the aerial tram in PS I am guessing there is snow up there now, is there anything to do for a family with little kids besides playing in the snow ?

Bring/rent a toboggan. Kept us entertained for hours.

it will be hard to find a home for just 2 nights, some have 4 night minimum

i already found one even though they said 4 day min. but if anyone knows of a specific house that they would recommend also it looks like palm springs is not very big does that mean your within a mile or two of the main atractions like chabad house ?

Palm Springs is very big.
If you're not in Twin Palms or Deepwell it's probably not walking distance to chabad.

I have stayed as far south as ridgemore drive and north in Sundance villas. And I walked 3 times to shil and I enjoyed every step .

Most people dont consider 7 miles RT to be walking distance.

Depends the weather but if your there in the winter it can be VERY NICE and VERY WALKABLE.

If you are there in the summer, forget it!!

Might be very nice, but I'm not about to walk 21 miles on shabbos for minyanim.

Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage hit me with a daily parking fee of $15 per day plus tax

Dan, cahuilla Hills drive is a residential street that has a sign that it is only for residents and guests?
