villa was very nice, nice rooms too, classy; overall a great stay; but they should inform people of the 15 dollar daily parking fee beforehand not when I check in.

villas/hotel is in Rancho Mirage which is basically next town over but is NOT walking distance to palm springs chabad.   There is a Chabad House in Rancho Mirage as well that may be walking distance but minyan not steady at least on the weekday I was there.  Shabbat may be different but maybe best to call Rabbi at Rancho Mirage(search his number on web)

It's actually mixed seating over there. The mechitzah is just a mirage.  :P

They do. (I'm talking about Rancho Mirage)

I would recommend staying in Indian Wells over Rancho Mirage or Palm Springs. It's much a nicer area. Hyatt regency was a great stay.

Thanks for your reply.
I know the areas. I have been to palm springs 7 times. Always stayed at a vrbo home. But today I am going for only 1 night so its not שייך to rent a home for 1 night.
as I said I have spg points and I am a spg gold. Does this change your suggestion ?
I want to know which of the 4 properties I mentioned should I stay. ?
Also how do I book spg redemption? Should I book a Vila from the begening . or should I book a plain room and ask for a upgrade ?

Chabad of Rancho Mirage (chabadRm.com - 760-770-7785) is located approximately 30 minute walk to the Westin. There is also a Marriott (Shadow Ridge) which is approximately 20-30 minute walk too. There is usually a Minyan Sun (8), Mon and Thursday mornings (7) and on Shabbos, there's always the possibility of a daily Minyan, depending on guests. Yes there is an Ezras Noshim.
The BBQ takes place during the winter months, from 5:30-7:30 pm.

There is also a Kosher home (http://www.kosher-oasis.com), rented only to Frum people. It is less than a mile from the Shul.
