Only would be interesting if they allow F redemptions... otherwise, I wouldn't waste hard-earned AS miles on LY.

Then again, I still may not if AA decides to send a 773 to TLV

Did you ask how they can justify adding such a steep fuel surcharge to bonus tickets, while their other North American Competitors don't have a fuel surcharge on bonus tickets? Yes the fly to Europe, but they need to treat their American customers like Americans, not Europeans.

On U.S. airlines, you earn approximately 11,000 miles on a paid economy ticket, and therefore have the required points for a bonus ticket after flying 7.5 RT flights.
On Elal you will now only earn 160 matmid points RT, thus requiring 11+ RT flights in the winter (1800 matmid points), and 12+ !! RT Flights for a summer redemption (2000 points) Unless you fly 12 times within 3 years, your 12 flights will have expired on you!

1. They say they have much better award availability, thus the YQ is justified.  They're working on a way to let people pay for the whole YQ with points.
2. Effective 2015 DL and UA will be awarding not even half of that.

Thanks for that tidbit. For the last few months i have allowed 10's of thousands of HAS points to expire, and haven't fought for them with US Bank, because i was waiting to have them resolve something with Elal. But if they are really so dead, then i might as well fight to get back my expired points now.
