Thanks for that tidbit. For the last few months i have allowed 10's of thousands of HAS points to expire, and haven't fought for them with US Bank, because i was waiting to have them resolve something with Elal. But if they are really so dead, then i might as well fight to get back my expired points now.
CMIIW but can't you at least use HAS points for 1 cent cash-back or statement credit? Why would you let them expire?

He said with LY you can book seats in the summer. So they're worth the YQ.
AA didn't collect YQ on LY award tickets even in the summer.

What justification was offered on that one?

2. Effective 2015 DL and UA will be awarding not even half of that.
But even if both Elal and UA/Delta will require 12 or 13 trips just to earn 1 Rt trip, (and then off course pray for availability to tlv),  at least with UA/Delta at some point you will be able to use your points, however long it takes, but with Elal, many (most) people or even yeshiva students will not fly 4 round trips per year, and miles will expire, before you have 1800, or 2000, so most people have no hope.

correct. But i wanted to use them to transfer to Elal, which is a better value than 1cpm.

We have better customer service than AA. Hack, that's why we decided to end the partnership with them.

Why wouldn't you redeem them for 1cpm the day they expire?

because i wanted to use them for elal, since their website claims that they are working on a solution.
I called in, and told them that i am purposely not using my miles,  because i am waiting for toy to resolve the dispute, and that the whole reason why i got the card was for elal. Of course the safer way would be to redeem for 1%, but I'm confident in my complaint to them.

He wanted to know if I do consulting services.
Nice way of paying you off for good reviews...
If your telling them what to do, then they must be doing something right.
(i'm not claiming this is true, just theorizing their side of things)

Not sure what the big deal is about YQ, it's very small on Elal, and then they don't have steep close in and change fee.

So did PG.

ElAl doesn't charge $75 per ticket for under 3 weeks, and doesn't charge $150-$250 or more to change ($50).

Which makes the $350, $50 of which all airlines charge much more palatable. $300 vs $75 for close in and change fees that may be quite expensive isn't so bad that it warrants all the complaining.

We covered:
-What AMEX pays LY for points
-What happened with AA.
-What happened with HAS
-Future of B6 reciprocity.
-Future mileage partners.
-Upcoming US co-brand card.
-Expiration policies/breakage
-Rationale behind J/F increases
-Upcoming reduced award promo
-Difference between airlines that can effectively tap the US cc market
-Who's booking LY F
-YQ
-Saver/standard awards
-Upcoming LY website redesign
-Loyalty of paid vs award customers
-LY point system origins

And more. My issue is I don't really know what I can say here about that...

Did you ask him how they offer an IFE system 19years old?

Dan, why do you think he called you and not me?
Because you have the platform to share their position and explain it. That's why they wanted you to listen to them.

Now please go ahead and share what the discussion was.

Thanks for letting us know that we can share private information with you off line and it will remain private.
Huh? I was refering to Meshug.
I think Dan js right to not share info unless he's told it's okay. I was saying that with what Meshug wrote I now know not to tell Meshug any secrets or they may end up on DDF.

But if you make a ticket more than 3 weeks out and then don't change it, on Elal you're paying $300 and on AA you're paying $0.

To get me to write a retraction/clarification.
Then in typical Israeli style anything good was said OTR.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
