i thought it was cool to be limaphriah. Maybe we should apoint an official mod for all hebrew/yiddish words to ensure the spelling.

Does the ticket show up on NY driving record or affect insurance?

How about slowing down? (if you haven't gotten a ticket yet)

If you've gotten the ticket already, either it will or it wont. Cant change that.

Does it matter? The point is to obey the law. Don't get a ticket.

So you've gotten the ticket already then. In that case, why not just ask a lawyer if it will negatively reflect on your NYS insurance?

How do you know the ticket was even valid?? If you don't know the facts please don't speak.

The question is (for those who don't wanna give mussar) is worth to go down and fight or just to pay (the fine alone doesnt make it worth it)?

I've asked lawyers and they dont give a clear answer. (Why would they? If they say no then I wont be hiring them  as their fees are alot more than the fine).

I don't. But, IME, pigs (despite the moniker) do not give tickets that are 100% baseless.

This may shock you, but not all lawyers are dishonest. Why not get a recommendation for a(n honest) lawyer who does this stuff?

Is your experience everyones? and again that's not how law works even if they're 1% baseless I'm not guilty.

I'm not shocked I just haven't found any. If you know of any please tell me.

Lawyers wont give you a clear answer cuz they want ur business

I was in court enough times with tickets... A lot of the things lawyer do to get it reduced you could claim urself (e.g. careless driving in jersey for a $270 fine and no points)

Either way if the ticket was for a less than 4 point violation, go to court, speak to the prosecuter (go early so you could speak to him before you see the judge) u'll get the fee reduced a the points reduced... and the points (as to my knowledge) wont transfer

BTW - once I was speaking to the prosecuter (a nice one) and I he saw I had a NY license and he himself said, since the points dont transfer he'll try to get me the lowest fee

Really? If they're 99% right, and 1% wrong, you're still not guilty?

Source?

While its hard to quantify "beyond a reasonable doubt" thats exactly what it is.

This is going to be my final response to you on this topic because I did not come here to discuss with you whether Im right or wrong .
