PM&M just posted that SBS will be back this year. Also mentioned how they got $270 in free money from it!

I would think it is true. Otherwise, a very deceptively sneaky number to share on the blog.

Is he really that naive to only have 9 cards in total within his household (he writes "we")?  I've never read the blog.  Or is it just a typical case of a blogger once again being completely uninformed about his field.

It is mentioned about adding AU's in this post, but maybe just thinking SO and not everyone they know.

Is 99 hard cap? Enforced? What happens if you try for 100?

I wouldn't go that high on any 1 account.

Probably cap AU's per card around 70 or so IMHO.

May not be worth the headache for the extra cards. Just open a few new cards and add on those.

For some it may be worth it to have 99 cards on each account he has. He made close to $10k last year and didn't even use all his cards.

I find that weird to draw a line at 70 and not 99, why do you say that?

I heard from a fellow ddfer that all that will happen is that you get a letter stating that you reached the limit and more cannot be added to the account

Maybe because of this from DDMS

"Q: How many secondary cards can I have?
A: Officially up to 99, but trying to add 99 cards to your account is a red flag and can trigger a financial review where you must submit your tax returns or else your accounts will be shut down.  Some people have been shut down adding fake names as secondary users on their account."

You can check how many AU cards you have for each card online. Shouldn't be too difficult to do that before adding more.
