Those guided tours of Pyongyang do not impress me anymore, they seem to be safe until you rip up your visa, now to travel around north korea on your own to remote vilages which almost no one has done that is impressive. What hershchel did in Iran and iraq thats amazing.

I have long wanted to visit Erbil. I just can't bring myself to take the risk just for the kicks. I feel it wouldn't be fair to my family although incredibly when I brought it up my wife said that she would let me go, although she would be nervous. With ISIS and all I wouldn't even consider it now. Hershel when did you go?

+1 by the way ISIS is just nearby Erbil in fact where Nahum Kever is Al Qush ISIS is in and around that same area this moment, so its definitely a no go for now.

Actually I was going to go there last week, but could not find direct flights. I think the airport in Djerba is closed in November (winter)

But hope I will get there in the near future
