Taxi for motorized scooter -Florida

My wife's grandfather is traveling to Florida and is trying to bring his motorized scooter. he claims that once you land in Florida, none of the taxi/car service that can accommodate the scooter will take a reservation, rather have to wait at the airport. does anyone have any experience with this?

I don't have personal experience, but usually the airport will be able to help him get appropriate transportation. I would try calling the airport in advance to find out where to go and how to arrange this. Most are very accommodating when it comes to these things.
