Amazon order shipped twice

Has anyone ever been shipped the same item twice from amazon and only charged once?

I ordered something the other day and i got 2 boxes with the same invoice and so far my cc has only been charged once.
Im not looking to debate the halacha of what should be done assuming i dont ever get charged a second time. Should that happen, ill ask my own Rov.

Just curious if this has ever happened to anyone else? I googled it and found a thread on another forums from a few years ago when it was happening to someone repeatedly

I had that happen to me once with overstock.com and it was a large $100+ item. They only charged me once and when I called them, they said to keep it because it would be a further loss to them to have to pay shipping back.

i had a similar case with eBay, i believe that it was a $50 item. enjoy it! life usually doesn't give out free presents!

Ebay is VERY different. Amazon is a huge corporation while ebay is often a moron like me hiding behind my screen. I am actually a powerseller on ebay. If i accidentally shipped someone an item twice i would definitely want that person to tell me. Additionally (and not to debate the halacha here-thats for your Rov) but i know for a fact things are different when its a goy or not. With ebay, you have no idea who the seller is. It could be the guy who sits next to you in shul or your 4th cousin twice removed...or me.

in my case i asked the guy and he was insisting that i should pay for the return shipping. i gave him a deadline to get it bak ( a nice one) bfr i decided to keep it
