yeah, not worth it unless one was already planning to buy/gift for whatever reasons they may have. But it's the best bonus they've offered, so I thought it was worth posting.
EDT: If you buy the max (80k + 45k for $2360) it's still 1.8cpm

But the "gifting" option seems interesting. Gifting 80,000 miles doesn't seem to cost anything (if you already have them) and there would be 45,000 free miles.....

(I) could we gift it to our spouse?

(2) could we gift it to a friend (and create a circle and have it come back)?

Anyone have experience with this and know how to make this work?

Usually gifting is the same price as buying, but is going to your friend instead of you. These companies are not that dumb.
