Happens to be it was our anniversary on Monday when we flew to HKG.

Told everyone I planned a surprise trip for her to HKG ;D

Packing was the least of the problems. It's not like this is the first time we took a trip, it doesn't take us that long to pack.

It was more the fact making the necessary arrangements for HKG and rescheduling any meetings/appointments we had here.

I remember how excited MEIR613 was Motzei Shabbos when he WhatsApped me that he was able to check in!

Don't think it's been done before? I've heard stories from people who booked flights around the world at midnight for 6 PM that day!

I booked tickets for the whole family to MCI on a Friday afternoon for a flight departing in 1 hour from time of booking. Left the brisket in the oven.

Same for an F glitch to EZE, within an hour out of the house, though not on a Friday :D

Ive booked flights before TLV-ORD about 6 hours before the flight. Had to call and tell United to hurry up and ticket it in time.
