When I did it the coupon was $3. If you're order is showing a promotional credit of $3.09 that means you're using a credit from a previous transaction that is on your account.

Incorrect. I made several orders with this - and I have no credit in my account, and when i go to my credit history it doesn't show there.

You're missing something here. The coupon only works once per account and it's only $3, not $3.09. You must have a credit on your account from some order. For instance, when I got a $30 credit onto my account when they canceled a price mistake I couldn't see the credit anywhere on my account but when I went to order something the credit would show up as "promotional credit". To test this you can go and put a different product not on sale into your account and see if a "promotional credit" comes up on the last page before you order.
