POM? Do you ask for it to be oven wrapped?

Thanks, looking forward to reviews of more dishes, although I hope you weren't eating meat at 9:10AM :p

Heating up POM meal in the Admirals Club at SFO.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

Heating up POM meal in the Admirals Club at SFO.

Sort of "noob" question:
I have shopped at Pomegranate in Brooklyn...what exactly are the POM meals? Is there something specific, or just something you select from their prepared food/deli counter?
And, for travel to SFO, do you keep the POM on ice all the way from Brooklyn? Was it frozen then thawed in-flight?
Just thinking about food safety issues.
 Thanks.

Pom meals are pre-ordered travel meals. I haven't ordered them myself, but I believe they are made fresh then frozen.  They are double wrapped to be either microwave safe or oven safe.

You have to order in advance, email them for the menu to order from.
There's a post on DDMS that explains it better.

Anyone ever try meals from OC Kosher?

The person who told me about it was raving about them

I had them frozen, flew them to west coast  and then put into a freezer overnight at the hotel. Took them with me all day and heated it up that night.

Your choice of ice box or cardboard.

I got it in a regular cardboard box and transferred to my cooler bag.

Had success on UA J MEL-LAX (after asking for an exception as a business costumer), but not in E+

In general I've heard they're a lot more willing to do things from J than Y/E+ pax.

After I got the official ok everything was smooth, but she did mention it should be double wrapped, so I'm just advising to mention it when asking
