Just curious, wouldn't the food be removed at the gate during the passport check? I thought the rules does not allow to carry food and liquid, and most food have liquid in it.

likely not, they only take real liquids, unless you told them that it has liquid in it... even real liquid get through in most of my experiences

Denied POM meals on United in J :-( EWR - LAX

Told that they don't want the liability of it being spoiled or something.

Update:

After seeing me polite begging and explaining of what was in it and that no one would get harmed, the food was heated up for me about midway through the flight... And it was delicious!

The interesting point to me is that its seemingly against their rules. Or does it just make them uncomfortable since its new to them? Hard to know I guess.

I had no issue with just refrigerated. I bought meals from a local restaraunt. They packaged for microwave and I repackaged for oven. I triple wrapped (just to be sure) and they heated no problems.
