Need to frame it well. Is the ksml cold part frozen? Is the hot meal dried out?

Any kosher wine on the flight?

Ye I thought I did, but I guess not well enough.. I even tried your "It tastes worse than it looks" Lol. Guy was too nervous to lose his job..

Not frozen but Breadticks were completely stale.

Didnt try it, had my french roast and corned beef at room temperature.

Yes, as you mentioned it was Convanent, but it was a cheap red Zinfandel.

DW cooked extra portions for chag meals, so they are very well frozen now.
Given your advice/experience, I'll forego purchasing the CO2 but will include a few of my own regular ice packs for good measure.
Thanks very much. Looking forward to my first BYOK experience.
Thanks again for the advice.
The meals were frozen solid 24h later. I used about 6 ice packs, which were also frozen. This bag is a game-changer.

Was chatting with AC FA Angela on my DXB-YYZ flight. She said she usually flies the YYZ-TLV on Fridays. She said it is AC policy not to heat up any personal meals in their ovens. Risk of fire (“what if you had plastic inside the foil wrap?” I really don’t see that igniting, but I wasn’t in the mood to argue with her) and what if food leaked from the BYOK onto their regular meals? Contamination concern etc.

Polar Bear cooler - Lets get this clarified once and for all.
« Reply #230 on: January 07, 2018, 07:48:05 PM »
I am flying to the Maldives next week - spending four nights there 1st night at FS Kuda, and next 3 at FS Giravaa - they officially have brand new dishes, and pots that they open for your person use when you arrive, and they store it separately, and supposedly they have frum people regularly and are "more than happy to accomodate us" etc.

Wondering if we could get more info on the Polar Bear Cooler.

I definitely do NOT need 50lb of frozen food - and i specifically am aiming to travel with a maximum of 10% more than i actually need.

My questions:

1. If i am bringing meat for 4 days - some Raw meat to be cooked there, some smoked meats for Shabbos all in all 4 meat meals (relying on fish/eggs from the hotel for the other meals)
would the 12 pack be big enough?  or min 24? if 24 - would that fit into a typical hand luggage?

2. How long would ice stay frozen in there? nowadays lots of coolers will keep things frozen for nearly 4-5 days wth minor melting - how does this stack up?

3. If you have used it with ice packs - did you have issues getting through TSA since the packs are technically liquid

4. What foods are recommended to bring on a trip like this - where frozen space is so limited? and what foods were completely regretted?

TIA!!

Sounds like CX to me.

Tofasta merubah...too many questions.

But you don't need ice in a PBC if the meals are in a deep freeze.

I bought the small one in the grocery, needs to be warmed up for at least an hour, will it work for BYOK? https://www.alleprocessing.com/product?sku=01-PKPY

Just tell them to put it in the oven for an hour.

Is BYOK dying?

I was rejected in December on AA from MIA-EZE due to "security reasons."
I was rejected again today on DL from AMS-DTW due to "security reasons."

Anyone else having a harder time of late?
