In the last 6 weeks I went 4 times to Canada and not even once was I asked for a contract.

Are you generally allowed to take a rental into Canada?
I have experience with avis hertz and enterprise, they all let you cross over the border (at least the Lakewood locations), not sure about the others company's, and I was rarely asked to show the contact.

A great day for unauthorized drivers. SCOTUS holds it's not stolen property as per the contract. It only says that coverage will be void. Let's see how quickly the rental contract is changed.

I don't think this was ever anyone's concern. Insurance coverage was always the burning question.
