    This Thread is for people interested in splitting the $50 register rental for The Gift Card Registry.
    Info: The Gift Card Registry (GCR) is a business in Lakewood that sells GC's that are accepted in many stores across town.See list
Here
In anticipation of the high volume of people/cards/swipes expected for SBS GCR is allowing individuals/groups to rent a terminal directly from their processor to swipe at home. The cost is $50 per terminal.
When making the groups please keep in mind that each card = 3 swipes so don't let you group get too big as M"S R"T is 5:45 assuming the house it's in starts right away you only have a little over 6 hours to swipe, and still need time to batch out and keep replacing receipt rolls.

Please enroll in a group below. Please indicate the amount of swipes you expect to do.

60 is cards or swipes? I say write swipes as some people might mix and match cards

Btw better get the groups together fast. She already has reservations for quite a few and her processor may not be able to get them setup on time.

Also I just spoke to GCR. There may be other options like using an app on your iphone/android. I hope to follow up with their processor soon

IMPORTANT!!!!!

Gift card registry gift cards - once used once at one store -the remaining balance on the card becomes a credit at that one store. The only way to avoid that is be getting multiple cards. Say you get a bunch of $30 gift cards.

If you then go spend $20 at one store, the remaining $10 is locked into that store..... etc etc etc.
