Just flew from YUL to CDG in the evening, security was really quick and there are no customs unless flying to the US. You don't need too much time.

Ausable Chasm - highly recommend. However it may be too close to Montreal to "break up the trip".

I was thinking to drive like 3.5- 4 hours. Take a break, maybe like a Kosher restaurant for lunch and then continue on. Buy Im open to sugesstions. Just hate driving for so long straight

Any NY'er driving to Canada be aware that your car has high chances of being stolen! and it takes about 24-48 for your car to be on a ship to the unknown.
If you're going to Montreal call the local Chaverim a day or 2 before and they'll give you a kit with locks and a GPS tracker for your car.

They target NY cars over the Canadian since the locals can't track them for some reason.

No they're much better than that, it's mostly high end cars plus premium models from regular brands, like Toyota Highlander is a hot one.
There has only be one incident afaik of a brand new minivan being stolen. But NY plates is a trigger, either way rather safe than sorry
