Wow. That’s great news.

Have a wedding to get to and wanted to be “on time”, and figured that entire process from disembarking till leaving airport would be at least 90min.
It's a breeze, relatively blazing, although timing is key it's never too bad https://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/canadian-customs-wait-times-drop-at-montreals-trudeau-airport

Bh, Montreal wasn't hard hit. "only" 2 deaths downtown. And both more than a month ago. They closed before us and the virus reached there a little after us.

A very positive article in the local Monrèal Gazette on how the porch prayers of the Hasidic Jews have been received and how they've reached out to their non-Jewish neighbors to show appreciation for their inconvenience and understanding.

And in the French La Presse (open it with google to get it translated).

Parking on street in the old city is only up to 2 hours... As soon as that time is up, will the app let me pay for 2 more?

Has anyone noticed that national free days Yul - USA has no availability, checked a bunch of days, if Yul somehow stopped it that would be a big loss

The other way around there is availability

FWIW, as of yesterday the greater Montreal area is rated as Red and here is a list of the new restrictions:

Quote
The restrictions are:

A ban on home gatherings, with some exceptions, such as a single caregiver allowed per visit.
- All bars, casinos and restaurants are closed (takeout only).
- Libraries, museums, cinemas and theatres will also be closed.
- Being less than two metres apart will be prohibited. Masks will be mandatory during demonstrations.
- Houses of worship and venues for events, such as funerals and weddings, will have a 25-person limit.

Hair salons, hotels and other such businesses will stay open.

Schools will remain open.
"Schools must remain open," Legault said. "Businesses are open so parents can continue to work and earn money."

Canadian officials said Friday they are working with the Biden administration to close what they describe as a travel "loophole" and to get more symmetry with Covid-19 safety protocols between the two countries.
"A loophole, frankly, does exist because the Americans previously had not placed any restriction on international flights coming into the US," said Bill Blair, Canada's public safety minister, during a news conference Friday.
"That concerns us because that restriction is at our land border but not at air travel," he added.
While the Canada-US border remains closed and all nonessential travel is prohibited until at least February 21, in the 10 months since the border restrictions were put in place, hundreds of thousands of travelers have made discretionary trips between both countries as air travel has not so far been subject to the same restrictions.
With the United States not imposing any air travel restrictions from Canada, the loophole has allowed everything from Canadian snowbirds going to the warm climes of Florida and Arizona for winter to family members on both sides of the border setting up nonessential visits.

This is crazy. This will literally halt most weddings from taking place.
