0% APR Cash Advance Card
« on: November 24, 2014, 09:58:39 AM »
Hi all! I need a CC with a 0% APR for 12+ months on a Cash Advance, I know that it's extremely frowned upon but I'm super desperate  :'(. I searched the forum for hours and couldn't find anything that's still applicable. I have 720+ credit score and I need $20k ASAP. Any help would be appreciated...

Thanx in advance

AFAIK there's no 0% on CA but you can get two cards with 0% APR on balance transfers and you can write yourself a check.
Chase Slate and Citi Simplicity.

It's not a good idea...
I try my best :-\

IIRC even if the APR is 0% there are still other significant fees associated with the CA.

I would recommend looking into getting a bank loan, why go through the credit card companies? Just a hunch, but I'm sure a bank loan would offer you a much better rate than borrowing from a cc...

There are offers for 0% APR for up to 18 months. That being said maybe someone on the forums can help you figure out a better way. Are you comfortable posting more details? If not maybe you can PM someone willing to listen and give you some other ideas of there are some.

Lot of cards out there with 0% on purchases. Would buying GC's and then using them work for you?
I just found a new supply of forks!

Thanx!! I don't mind paying the CA fee, all I need is no interest and no payment required for 12+ months. I don't want to get a bank loan since I'm planning on getting a mortgage in approximately 6 months and doing it with a CC won't hurt my chances. Is there are any other way I can do this? Thanx for trying to help

I would need 40 $500 GCs not sure where I'd find them in the Lakewood area. Also, I need the cash, where would I be able to cash GCs?

Are you sure that a CC with a 20k outstanding balance won't impact you mortgage?

  • I plan on splitting it between my wife and myself, so it won't be that much on either of us (each of us have $20k+ revolving credit, with barely any utilization)
  • My guess is that having an open loan would be worse than outstanding CC balance

The mortgage lender will ask for more income based on the minimum payment on the cc

I can come up with that, that's not a problem. My only problem is that I need to come up with money within the next few days, so I can't really play much

I believe the Chase Slate would be best, you won't get hit with any fees.
Open one in your name and one in your spouses name and write yourself a check... Bingo!

Thanx!!!

A couple of questions:
  • If I do it using 3bm, I might get more credit combined, correct?
  • Writing a check has no fee?
