I'm not sure where this September start date comes from. I see on Google flights Virgin flyinh May 1st.

As per dansdeals,
Virgin Atlantic has stopped selling flights to Tel Aviv until 9/5. The airline has not yet updated its Tel Aviv flight information page. When asked if that meant flights through 9/4 are canceled, as is often the case when flights are no longer being sold, the airline responded to DansDeals that, “We’re always reviewing our flying programme. As soon as we have a decision regarding Tel Aviv we will be in touch.”

I have a return after pesach with elal through JFK because it was cheaper then Newark (Newark is closer to my house) so when united started flying I asked my mother maybe we should cancel n elal for a voucher and book united she intelligently responded just because united is flying now doesn't mean they'll be flying when your flying
