how risky is yyz to tlv arriving 11:45am Friday?

Read this post on DDMS.

Religious Jews, except in the case of an emergency, should not fly from North America on a flight that is scheduled to land in Israel on Friday, period.

May need to book a Pesach-to-Pesach reservation NYC-TLV. Its not bookable online, but can anyone here recommend a good TA? Thanks!

Some interesting stuff in this interview with LY CEO: https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2019/01/25/el-al-focuses-on-premium-economy/

- LY considering adding an extra row of premium Y in the 787
- Likely to retrofit its 777 with zodiac in 1-2-1 configuration.
- Global alliances are starting to talk to LY given the changes in geopolitics

Saw the self-serve baggage drop the other day in TLV. Would this be a potential way around the carry-on weight limit?

Pesach.
Pesach is correct. But it's really for the other way around. They need to bring in the planes to fill in for the demand from NY to TLV.

Interesting point. Just wondering where they have the best chance.
-Doubt UA would want them in *A because they are big competitors on TLV flights. And even if UA agrees, I'm assuming TK can block them?
-AA would seem likely (because they've had codeshare agreements for years). But can't imagine that QR and MH won't be a problem.
-DL doesn't seem to have any members that would block. Maybe?

Good question
- On Oneworld you might get objection from BA and Cathay.
- On Skyteam, I don't see anyone who would object besides perhaps DL and AF.

I cant see an airline like DL block for one route that they have on one flight a day from the hottest market in the US.
