I had the basic insurance that comes with the Amex Platinum card that you dont pay extra for. Amex has an added insurance you can purchase for about $10 a ticket that has much higher coverage.

as instructed I Am reposting here

only my bag arrived TLV on erev shavuos, and they made me come pick it up, as they have no delivery before yom tov.

I didn't buy anything as I did not have time on erev yom tov

Should I file a claim with NY office or general (TLV) office?


P.S. I got the ticket on a AMEX card am entitled for anything there ?

Actually I did get something from TSA.

They cut the zippers of my bag although I used a TSA-approved combination lock.  They did leave a note inside my bag. 
I filled out the claim form and also sent in the receipt for the bag and lock that I purchased just a few weeks ago.  I also sent them a picture of my ruined bag.  I don't remember the total amount, it's under $100.  TSA sent me a $50 check.
