no reason to compromise here. A deal is a deal.
Buyer knew exactly what he was getting and he even prepaid for it!
Curious as to what would happen had the price gone up?

As to being nice that's a different story.

Now back to FiOS, what does the charge come up as?
Trying to see if my bill would be eligible
This what shows up

He probably did not have a choice and he was thinking probably everyone is doing the same which is not true. He was also thinking that it was just matter of getting confirmation email which everyone is getting. Immediately. He did not realize that his $500 would be locked up for few days.
We are focusing on the price going down. Its one aspect. No one is focusing on $500 getting locked.
If someone else was giving the credit right away, he would have preferred to go with them even if price did not change.

Having done several trades here, never heard of waiting for few days after taking full payment.
The $500 is "locked up" once the money is sent, irrespective of whether I make payment or not. The account already has a large enough credit balance to cover the next bill. I do not see the practical difference whether I pay now or two weeks from now. If its a matter of trustworthiness then I think I can come up with a few references to vouch for me.

+1. The buyer is obviously feeling bad about losing out, and not because the money is locked up
had he said he doesn't feel like "locking up the $" BEFORE re agreeing to the seller then he has the right to back out.
Not what happened here AFAIK.

I feel like I disagree with most of you, the deal was person A gives person B $500, person A makes 10 payments instantly, if person A doesn't complete exactly what was made up then why does person B have to continue with the deal. I think person B was stupid for sending money right away, and I also hear person A's side. If I was person A I would probably compromise and come in the middle.

I think you're missing a crucial point here,
Person B had the opportunity to back out when person A said he wants to wait for credit to post, he chose not to back out, end of story.
Now price went down and he's trying to come up with ideas to back out

No reason for person A to compromise! Like I've said before
If he wants to be exceptionally nice and give him back some $ or another credit, Great but not necessary.

Didn't realize person B agreed to wait it out, thought he wanted to back out right away. If that's the case I agree with u

I think Verizon only refunds to the credit card they don't send a check
(my past experience with Verizon Wireless not FiOS)
what if you paid from a few different cards and/or the card is not on anymore?
Will they refund to your card on file?
