Fyi- not sure if it's because they're kids, but I applied for GLobal Entry for my kids this morning and a few hours later I got the conditional approval/ schedule appointment email. And on erev yontif no less!
Nothing to do with your kids. I applied last week and got an email of approval the next day. And I went down last night for the interview. The whole think took 2 and a half mins. And I woke up this morning to see an email that the account is activated. Even though the agent said it can take up to a week for me to receive it.
Upto a week to receive the card which you don't need
I was told 2 weeks for the card, one week for confirmation of approval.
Maybe for the "confirmation", they don't have the fastest email system.....Approval is right when you leave the interview, you can use it as of that moment

Officially you can't do GE when you're traveling with a child that doesn't have GE, if you do so they can revoke your GE for life, I wouldn't try without asking an officer first

I just brought his passport. I waited for 5 minutes (no one was there) and then got let in.
