Renewing an Israeli Passport in the US
« on: December 02, 2014, 02:13:45 PM »
1) Has anyone renewed their Israeli passport via mail? Something about mailing in my old one for them to replace makes me nervous.
2) I can't seem to find an estimate of how long it'll take. Planning to go in late Jan. Am I ok?

Because if I have the option, doing it by mail means not having to spend half a day or more waiting in line there.

But wouldn't that be faster in the end?

Mission accomplished.

Cost me 30 minutes, $100, and a half a dozen snide comments about me not serving in the army.

The agent told me that if I had mailed it in, it only would have taken an extra day or two of processing.

You should have responded that then they wouldn't have been able to make comments about not serving in the army and you did it for them.
