US Airways MasterCard Now Offering 50,000 Miles

What are people doing with these miles? I just signed up and was approved for this card. Up till now I was mainly selling my points (I'm a new poster but have been lurking on the forums for a couple months-- ever since $85 first class to Hawaii I've been hooked!!)
No one seems interested in purchasing these miles, so are people just waiting for the merger to be complete and then joining their points with AA?

Once it transfers to AA you can probably sell it for $600 or so.

careful who you sell to, there have been many issues with getting shut down by aa recently.

Downgraded old US card 1 week ago but still showing in their system, no approval yet..

Has anybody who downgraded their card to the no annual fee card have been successful in being matched to the 50k offer ? Called yesterday they opened case today i got phone call that I'm not eligible for extra 10k because I downgraded card

Just got approved after calling recon I'm a little surprised it was so easy being that I just got the arrival a month ago and I've only had a CC for a year.

Recon is telling me that you can not have more than one USAir card opened at any given time. Is this true? I should have cancelled the other one before applying for a second card!

What would I say?  Why do I want a new one if I already have one and ask him to close it first?
Also, what do I do with the miles in the account before I close it?

You don't lose airline miles when you close the card.

We both have US airways master card & Barclay A+ and they are 12 months old.

Credit score is 786
