Dont believe it is "harder" to get them to waive it later. Thats how I waived all my AF's this year. I was months late.

True that I'm still waiting for them to post I paid the AF before I even got the card and used it once yesterday now I'm waiting for the points to post

Just got this card instent appovel with a 10K limit. Anything i need to know except to spent $1 and pay the AF to get the 50K!? any other benefit i could get? sorry but there is no wiki

Sorry - a bit under the weather. Seems to have messed with my reading abilities.

Is this closing > reapplying for same card or downgrading > applying for new card?

I downgraded and applied the next day with no problem at all. Others I know apply every 8-12 weeks and seem fine. I have read that several ppl have opened, closed and applied again for same cards within a 2 week window.
