How does this card work in regards to the free checked bag; is it like the Citi AA and as long as your FFN is tied to the reservation you get the benefit, or is it like the UMPE and you need to have bought the ticket (or at least taxes and fees) with the card to get the free checked bag?

I wouldve...but I sorta just closed mine, Just Wanted to know if its worth it to keep after I open again, because I have the AA platinum but my years almost up, do u happen to know if the AA platinum is Churnable?

how soon is it safe to apply for it again, and what are the chances of instant approval?

I know that in general, i am asking if anyone know specific to barcly's how long of a wait is needed to enhance chance of auto approval. and if downgrading to another card vs. cancelling the card help for this

Downgraded to an arrival and applied the next day and got approved. What that means I dont know. I had the card 1+ years already. Not sure what exactly feeds into the decision of auto approving it.
