Youll still be able to use the balance on the new card. It (should) will transfer over.

When I downgrade within two months do I mention they should mail me a check with my AF or I shouldn't even mention it and it will be refunded automatically by check?

Just confirm you will have it refunded

Arrival is a definite. I also think they have a "No AF" US Air card.

Tried downgrading for my wife--they said her account was not eligible to downgrade to Arrival. Even when transferred to a supervisor (which I don't think it was actually the case!) they said she couldn't. Going to HUCA, but has this happened to anyone else?

I got 10k after spending 1k. Ppl reportedly have gotten less of an offer recently.

Reason? Maybe. Could be many reasons to downgrade.

I just called to downgrade my us air to arrival and when I ask how my AF would be refunded he said he doesn't see an option for him right now to make that happen and I should call back in two days. Is he just incompetent and I should huca or should I just wait it out?
