Hello all,
I'm looking for a good vacation place for me and my wife. I have a decent amount of points but either I am awful at searching for award flights/hotels (I really need to get to a DDS) or I just have very bad luck. So I am asking my fellow DDF'ers for a favor (and I'll pay you a bit too): I want you to plan my next vacation. When I say "plan", all I really need you to do is find flights and hotel(s) to a nice location (which you get to choose) for us. Our dates are somewhat flexible; I will list them below. The member whose vacation plan we go on will receive 20 bucks (your choice of cash, check, paypal etc). I know, not a lot of money, but I have a feeling that some of you guys get a kick out of doing something like this, so why not earn a couple dollars.
Here are the details:
We live in the NY area, so we want to leave from near our area (JFK, EWR, LGA)
We are available to vacation from 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 18 until 8:00 am on Monday, January 5th (these are the times we can leave our house in the NYC area); however, we need to be in the tristate area for the Shabbos of December 26-27.
If the spot is in the US, then we prefer it to be on the warmer side.
If it is in a different country (like a touristy trip), then weather shouldn't be an issue.
We are not very interested in the typical Jewish spots (i.e. Miami and LA).
Ideally, the vacation should be about 5-7 days, but can be extended or shortened a couple days if needed.
We have:
160,000 UR points
37,000 Starpoints
33,000 MR points
55,000 UA miles
We also have a bunch of BA, US and more Starwood points coming soon, but they probably won't post in time

We don't mind using some cash, but we'd rather use as much points as needed, and save the cash for activities. The points that we would need to spend should be reasonable relative to the trip we are going on. For example, it should not cost us 160,000 UR points to go to Miami (especially because we don't even want to go there), while to get to Hawaii and have a place to stay for a few days, that would be reasonable.
The first person to give us the vacation plan and tells us how to go about booking it (e.g., there is availability on Airline X on December Y and way back on January Z, so call 555-555-5555 to book etc.), will become 20 dollars richer. That's enough to buy 4 Redcards in Cleveland!
