And no problems with the army
I think you should go to misrad  hapnim(early of course), and ask them if they can help you.
If u work for a living, why kill urself working?

There's one day service AT the main office in Manhattan with proof of the ticket.
There's one day service or 2 day for $100 or so above the gov't price from Fastport passport and such services.
You can do it the regular way at the post office and have it 'expedited' for about $60 and get it in, I think, 2 weeks.  Easier than the post office is Grand Army Plaza Library (and another one in Brooklyn) has daily (I don't know about sun) passport services.

My favorite cause: cssy.org

For one who's a dual citizen and only holds a US passport, when flying or driving across to Canada where your a citizen as well, can the passport agents see that your a dual citizen?
Basically if they know that your a dual citizen wonder if they give you an easier time. Always meant to ask them that question when going across the border, as well wanted to know if they can see your home address on the passport?

Does the passport photo need to be exactly 2x2? Are they usually strict about that?

I think the main thing is the size of the face/head. You can always cut the picture

Your face should fit in the cut out of the application
