Wouldn't the whole package be cancelled?
Not if you cancel it through the airline not the OTA.
Hope I didn't just open a can of worms...

Who refunds you for the flight? The airline?

I booked a car through chase UR portal. I am not thinking I might end up needing to leave (and return the car) about 12 hours earlier or so. It will actually cost more to rebook using a return date a day earlier. As it is prepaid (i can cancel) is there any reason not to return it early? Any penalty or the like? I can't imagine there is, but hoped someone with more experience can chime in.

I'm almost certain there won't be any penalty for just 12 hours earlier.

On your rental agreement it should say the daily rate and weekly rate, so if let's say you got it on the weekly rate but return it after just a few days, you'll pay the daily rate. (But not if you just return it a few hours early)

Best would be to call the rental location to find out.

Thanks. found it in chase's agreement.
"The early return of car rentals is not eligible for a refund."
Looks like there's no issue returning early.

Really? I remember seeing the full size Ford transit connect on their website. It probably depend on location and possibly corporate code. Also, could be a bug on their new website that it doesn't always show.

I can't remember. Maybe FLL. Or maybe Parsipanny NJ. If National has a branch there.
