Nah I need NY
Fly down for $39 and drive it back. It will definitely come out cheaper than renting here (if its for a few days). If you have time....

Since I'm pretty much clueless about rental cars, is there any info I would use like signing up for a gold member on hertz or any codes to enter to start you off with some points!? Or do I just go on the site and enter my info as a regular person as creating a new account?

What does a gold member do for me? Also is there still ways to use someone else's usaa card # or make myself  an added user so I could rent under 25?

even if I do go onto that debit account, is that enough for using at hertz or will I need a credit card (usaa), is there no card today comparable to the usaa card?

Quick comment re: pricing.  I consistently find Costco travel has the best prices.  Cars are booked with the major national car rental companies.

Never found it cheaper for the dates and locations I needed. I guess it depends on many factors, and as usual compare all the options before.

General Rule... Depends from where to where. As company's often have one way deals from the South (FL) after the winter.

Other wise, IME National

Use Costco Travel to compare for a start, before corporate codes and coupons. I once had Budget pricing out cheaper than a same location, while all other companies were way more expensive.

I believe Sixt does as well and there is that 20% off Amex offer.
