We have the united card that gives you one piece of luggage for free when you pay using the card (even just taxes on award travel). Is there any way to get the free luggage if I book tickets using ultimate rewards points?

Try paying $10 on the card and the rest with UR. The check your reservation. If you don't see the free bag, call United.
