China Southern Airlines vc. Cathay Pacific

Has anyone had experience flying China Southern Airlines in Premium Economy.

I know haters will hate about my preference to fly PE, I enjoy the extra leg room I am heavy set guy.


I have two flight options, either NYC to CAN via HKG on Cathay or I can flight direct from NYC to CAN nonstop on China Southern Airlines.

I usually fly to either CAN or HKG with PE on Cathay so I wonder if China Southern Airlines will live up to Cathays PE.

I am trying to decide what to do. I flying JFK to CAN and either i can fly China southern direct to CAN or Cathay Pacific with stopover in HKG. I am flying premium economy. Does any one know which one has better premium economy?

I would say Cathay pacific would be much better choice.

Why are you saying that for the Airline name or the actual seats are better?
I went on some website and they claimed that the Cathay pacific Preferred economy seat spec: Pitch: 38 Width :19.5"
On China Southern the spec for the same seat were: Pitch:38 Width:18.5"
Is it worth 150 dollars more for an extra inch?

You didn't write anywhere that there was a price difference. The service will for sure be much better too on Cathay.
