Wow I thought my 15% was bad
Yours was probably higher in the first place, so your increase is smaller.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I have employer sponsored coverage, my wife and baby have Medicaid. I pay a $40 co pay to see a doctor (not to mention deductible and co-insurance) and my wife gets a $35 gift card in the mail for going to the doctor. Plus they even offer free transportation! Unbelievable.

Medicaid is the Rolls Royce of health coverage (at least for children). It even covers OTC medication, and many other items not covered by commercial insurance.

They do that,  or at least say they do that,  because it saves them money in the long run. If you keep healthy and do preventive care you hopefully won't need the emergency room and they will catch things before they get big and cost them big, as well.

Some in depth analysis of the situation. What he doesn't address is the fact that they knew going in that it was going to fail.

Is there any decent insurance aside from medicaid these days that does not cost an arm and leg?

The ones that cost an arm and a leg used to have decent coverage. Now they've cut benefits and cost 2 arms and 3 legs.

Anybody following the news or is involved in company health plans would take it as a joke. I apologize if it wasn't meant to be a joke.
OP-no such thing anymore in this country. Prices are skyrocketing and coverage sucks more then ever. Closest Ull get is medicaid.

Obamacare virtually banned so-called "Cadillac plans" with the exception of unions and Medicaid.
