Intestine had emblem for few years now and haven't had an issue

What did the rest of the body have? 

One can go many years with no issue, but when there is an issue (which is more likely to come up with a specialist, out of the ordinary procedure, etc) Emblem are not fun to deal with.

IME doctors also hate them as they pay little, and take a long time to pay.

Ended up going with fidelis. Although reviews online are terrible , the next option is an extra $1200 for the year, with identical coverage

No such thing, as pointed above. That being said, Fidelis is a non-profit, so as long as they are well run, they might provide better value. Also one anecdotal piece of information is that the company is actually called The New York State Catholic Health Plan, d/b/a Fidelis Care, d/b/a Fidelis Care New York. You can read up a little more about it here.

As long as the network is good enough for you, and you understand how the coverage works as far as deductibles and co-pays, that's the most important thing.

PSA: Tomorrow, December 15th, is the last day to sign up for coverage which would be effective January 1st.

Every company will have bad reviews. It's just the nature of the beast. I've never dealt with Fidelis, so I can't say anything about them. But comparing Empire and Emblem is almost like comparing Delta Airlines to Spirit.

Opened business mid this year NY based and the pain of growing starts hitting me If my insurance provider Fidelis would just take a tiny look into my books i would be just kicked off no time! And i have no clue were to start!!

Why do you think so? Insurers don't really care about your business bookkeeping, except as it relates to group participation and eligibility requirements. IINM Fidelis doesn't offer small business plans.

So it's not Fidelis that might have a problem with you, but rather NYS Medicaid. Are you taking a payroll that exceeds the limits, or is it just that your business is making money? If the latter, and you are just starting, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

So it's not Fidelis that might have a problem with you, but rather NYS Medicaid. Are you taking a payroll that exceeds the limits, or is it just that your business is making money? If the latter, and you are just starting, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

My company at this point is a S corp so i think it doesn't make a difference how much payroll i take on a W2

The IRS won't like it if the S corp is making millions (bez"h) and you take a $10,000 annual payroll. But as I said, as long as you are not taking a payroll that would disqualify you from Medicaid, you probably don't have a serious problem until you file your taxes, and it's not Fidelis that cares (no pun intended) but rather NYS Medicaid.

Yep you're right that's its NYS Medicaid that's in charged not Fidelis, Fidelis is an insurance provider not a government program, Ding ding tax season is coming up and i had a meeting with my accountant past Thursday and the numbers didn't look good in terms of getting covered by NYS Medicaid and that's why first thing i did was quickly post here on DDF because were else would someone answer my questions on such a gray Sunday

I see SO much false information given to you. I was in your shoes, thought that as long my business makee money, I'm not making money, WRONG! The government sees YOU as making money when you have an S Corp.

I had to pay a $8500 penalty, they charged me what they paid to Fidelis or I would risk prosecution, not worth it.......They will catch you.

Not sure which false info you're talking about, Were do i mention in my post that i think that because its the business that makes the money its doesn't reflect and linked to my personal income? And how do you know that my business is an S?
