I've lost all my open tabs and I want to retrieve them before I shut off the computer.

I have FF set to open to restore unclosed tabs upon starting, but I seem to remember "something" (?) may have been a bit different upon shutting down just before this happened.  When I turned on computer and opened FF, only one new tab came up.  It does not give me an option to restore all previous tabs.  I need to restore all previous tabs before the current tabs.  Any way?

Try manually crashing it through task manager. That often brings up the option of previous sessions.

Hey--interesting! I just have to be sure I am opening the correct previous session.  maybe I should go back 2 or 3 to be sure it won't count this single tabbed session as one (maybe it was twice).

Um...how do I manually crash it there?

It will show the open tabs. Just end task

Did it, but...it just reopened everything to the few tabs I had opened in FF when I ended the process.  My settings are set to open to last session.  Should I unmark that and then maybe it can't reopen to that and may ask me which session?  I am just getting further and further away from the "previous" session of all my missing tabs session though.

just reading upthread a bit...

How can I tell how many open tabs I have without using an add-on or extension?
Go to about:preferences, check "Warn me when closing multiple tabs".  Then attempt to close firefox :)
WHat I have sometimes been able to do is to intentionally "crash" FF by closing it via the end task in windows task manager. This brings up the restore session window with a list of available sessions to restore. I then choose the most recent one with all tabs.
XLNT! Ty.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

When I reopened FF after end tasking it, my previous session automatically came up.  I have seen the restore button and screen in the past, but I only see one button to push called RESTORE.  Where are the other options listed?
