Is there anyone who actually likes Firefox's new search bar? (as of today's FF update)

I never use it for anything but google. The old one was much cleaner and easier to read.

I use the address bar for Google, and the search bar for a bunch of other sites: DDF, Wikipedia, ups tracking, reverse number lookup, youtube, Amazon, ebay, etc.

Mine just updated (probably because i never close the window..)
First thing i did was change the default to Google.

I never use it for anything but google. The old one was much cleaner and easier to read.
I use Wikipedia a lot so that would be convenient. I could see myself using Amazon too.

You can create a keyword search. Right click in the ddf searchbox

Ooh, I'm excited with this thread.   Being new to FF, I can learn some useful shortcuts here and share my 'by mistake' shortcuts I found.

Example:
1.  Typing '.' in the highlighted URL bar brings up a very useful list of tabs (but I haven't figured out exactly what that list is yet.  All I know is that I use it all the time since I have so many tabs open.)

2.  For others who keep open so many tabs also, there is a down arrow at the very right of the tabs (to the right of the '+') which opens up a menu of all of your tabs.

3.  At the very bottom of that drop down menu is an eensy weensy down arrow to scroll down to more tabs that don't fit on the menu.  (or an up arrow at the top of the menu if you want to go back up the list of tabs)

I used Ready2Search to create a google search with the "site:forums.dansdeals.com" flag.

IINM, it just searches your tabs and history for URLs with a period, sorted by frecency (frequency and recently), which should automatically come up with your more commonly used tabs first.

Here is a list I made of a bunch of good FF extensions for which I couldn't find equivalents in Chrome, in case that helps anyone.

Nice! I just hope no one makes the mistake of installing ALL of them... that could be a recipe for disaster!

I'm trying to use tab groups on my new computer, and control-shift-e is not working. Is there a setting somewhere that I have to turn on?

Shkoyach. Looks like control-shift-E is still mapped to tab groups. I set the Tab Groups button to show, and the button doesn't work either. Any other ideas?
