T-Mobile limited time offer! $100 for 2 unlimited lines!!!
« on: December 12, 2014, 11:04:04 AM »
I thought this deserved to be on the deal page since it's a limited time offer.

T-Mobile is offering their family plan for $100 a month for 2 lines for truly unlimited 4g, texts, and calls. Additional lines are only $40 dollars each!
As their usual plan, it comes with international text and data and whatever available add-ons, like unlimited international calls.

Living in NYC (service is great here, I count account for people in suburban places), I made the switch from Verizon three months ago because I was sick of getting different bills every month, with t-mobile I am paying the same thing every month and they matched me for their new offer today!

I also would not recommend signing a contract with any carrier right now as prices are most likely going to keep going down for the next few years to match European pricing. T-mobile (as well as other carriers) offers the advantages of post paid without being tied to them or to a specific plan, you can change every month to suit your needs.

Lastly, Sprint which is its major rival (Verizon and AT&T consider themselves too high to compete with Sprint and T-Mobile) also does offer cheaper plans than before, but first I find their service to be rather bad and also when you get let's say a T-Mobile iPhone, it's resale value will be much higher since it's virtually usable on any carrier worldwide.

Dont forget with these plans you dont get any phone subsidies.. So if you take an iphone for example a $450 subsidy over 24 months is $22 a month.. Take that into the equation.. Thats 22 each line..

Att has some great rates that don't include subsidies as well and have better service depending on where you live.

How much in taxes?  Sprint has low come-on prices, but has 25+% in taxes and fees.

I couldn't tell you exactly , just that they have some competitive rates with those don't need unlimited data. And with Att you can bring any gsm phone while with Sprint your stuck with one of theirs.
Just something to keep in mind.

I just helped my relative get ATT. 2 lines unlimited min and text, 4 gb data for $80+ and some great Lumia 1520s off eBay.

I was just in a T-Mobile store yesterday to set up an account which is 1gb 4g the rest they slow down but don't limit or charge more for $50 for one line second is $30 anymore are $10 up to 10 lines and they offered me the $100 a month for 2 lines that they said was absolutely unlimited 4g
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

but with att the only option without a contract is $60 a month (at least according to the store sales reps)

i just got 2 lines for $80 and they told me it would come out to about $86 (if you want to rely on the store reps)

;D For your sake I hope so too, but I'm with them for 6 years and that's my experience. (You are referring to sprint, right?)

Truly unlimited. I never connect to wifi, stream videos, and download apps so use about 15gb a month and I don't get capped!

Do the math over two years, plus take into consideration the fact that you won't be able to switch to a cheaper plan for two years and you're at loss! It's all psychological.

My old bill was 140 and total was 160. That's 14%!

$80 + tax? Not worth it then. Don't forget about unlimited international. Personally I spend about 4 months abroad combined every year.
