I'm having some strangely frustrating results..
I'm looking to book Award Ticket JFK - TLV on Jun 26th Return July 13 or 14.
Delta.com is offering 160k non-stop returning the 13th.
155k gets it with a layover in Atlanta or Paris (it changes daily)
If I were to do a layover, i'd only one in AMS. Now when I search the same dates with a paid flight, I am getting results with a 15 hr layover in AMS (which is perfect) coming in and Non-stop for the return. However, its not showing up on award search.
Why can't I book award travel with the layover in AMS if its a result on a paid search? Is it because delta doesn't offer Award tickets through KLM? (they do for AirFrance)
Delta reps are useless.
If someone has input to how i can book the AMS layover with miles, i would be grateful.
otherwise i'll just book a paid El-Al flight...(i should've listened to you guys and not transferred the 50k AMEX MR to delta....) If I am paying, i'd like to fly with a bit of comfort
