data which misinterpreted may have been

Numbers are just numbers.
GMV is just a number that doesn't need interpretation.
Units per sale are numbers and don't need interpretation.

I'm not claiming things are rosy but you're claiming that these numbers are pulled out of thin air or from some interpretation.

Again, I'm talking to a wall, as I mentioned that the numbers don't mean things are rosy, and you quickly pipe up that numbers are subject to interpretation.

So what the heck are you arguing about?
You're defending those that claim the numbers are a lie, nothing else.

Since you clearly haven't been following, you can start from here-
http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=48174.msg1285193#msg1285193
And point out where I attacked people before I mentioned the data.

I personally love calculating things in the supermarket so obviously I don't mind calculating online either.
But that's just me and I can understand that others don't enjoy it.
So Please do what you love,
where is it the cheapest price/count?

About the data from Channel Advisor: CA was a launch partner with Jet, perhaps their main liaison into the 3p seller market. Of course they're going to promote positive data. In addition, CA is a corrupt worthless company with a terrible product and model.
Saying that Jet is the #4 marketplace is total BS, I'll translate it for you: All of CA's customers sell on Amazon and/or eBay. They try to push them into Newegg as well due to low barrier of entry. Who's next for the lame 3p seller? Jet.

Newegg, Rakuten, Best buy, all sell less than Jet for CA sellers.
Though your overall point (if true) would still mean its worthless data...
I have seen a bunch of companies sprout up trying to market their platforms to Jet sellers, so it seems like their is seller demand for such services..

I guess with time we will find out.

That doesn't mean they are smaller than jet - their focus is not marketplace, whereas jet is solely marketplace

Jet is not solely a marketplace either.
Though that is a good point, that it's Jet's marketplace vs Neweggs marketplace, not the overall sales of the site.

I believe Jet is not a success story yet and has a big chance of failure.

Not sure if a similar issue has been mentioned before, but a while back I created an account and placed an order using a discount code, and jet.com promptly cancelled my order. When I asked why, they said it's due to "multiple accounts". Since this was my first order and I obviously had no clue what they were talking about, I pressed them for more information and the rep claimed that they did not have any further information beyond that.

The only possible connected account might be that of my brother who uses the same credit card billing address as me. Regardless, they suspended my account so that I can't even log in and that was that. Never looked at that site again.

Way to go jet.com... way to go.
