Author Topic: Santa brings presents! Etihad glitch, e.g. JFK-AUH $187 (Read 66620 times)

Ok flight just got pushed off to 10.30 pm from 12.30 pm. Meaning my stopover in abu dabi has been cut (which i planned on going touring ). Anyone else have this or have any suggestions?

See if they can change your dates (if that's what you want).

Where are people here crediting their flight miles to? Right now the two options I see for JFK-AUH-JNB-AUH-JFK are either 7,798 AA miles (miles only for the AUH-JFK-AUH segments) or 10,776 Jet Airways miles (50% of all miles) any better options?

you can also collect 100% to etihad guest IIRC, and use it to buy cool things, look into it

I don't have any MR currently so ANA would be worthless with just 10k. OTOH Jet Airways has awards from 2500 miles like NYC-YUL.

right, so if you dont fly star alliance long haul, and aren't planning on getting amex anytime soon (either earning or buying) then jet airways might be more valuable to you.

PS, after i bought the tix and starting looking into, i seriously regret not paying more to go via CDG on AA, as that will earn MANY more AA miles.

Thanks. Still didn't get amex since my failed FR a few years ago. I'm thinking Jet Airways 2 free short haul RT awards can be worth more than AA 7,800.

The dates I was looking at didn't have the more expensive option.

Just tried that and they said since I booked with Priceline they didn't have the fare rules and I needed to call Priceline direct. Priceline wanted $200 (change penalty) + $30 (Priceline fee). Did I do something wrong?

Etihad totally changed their schedule, which messed with my plans, but they were not so bad about changing it a little.
But when I tried putting my baby's name in instead of "infant" as I had bought originally, they said I can't change it.
Any advice? just huca?
