I thought I'm the only one skipping this amazing deal!
I guess I'm in good company of all the people who are spoiled to the core and can't fly in economy for so many hours (although 2 such trips would make me executive platinum again >:(

My observation: Most of the DDF'ers here that took the glitch seem to all be Noobs, besides 1?

Honestly, as cheap as it is, I'd rather fly F and pay with miles

I actually booked EY F A380 smack in middle of the Glitch to AUH in February.

I'd never hesitate to book a glitch in coach to Europe for example. Flying coach for that many hours is something I'd be hesitant to do even without this game. And all my travel buddies would be even more reluctant than I am. Otherwise I may have jumped on this deal as well. Also stopping in the UAE does slightly put me off from the deal as well. I wouldn't say it's all about being spoiled.
If the deal was to Sydney for example  chances are much higher I'd have bit.

Yes, it's not even the safety aspect.

I have no issue flying coach, I just wanted to try out EY F on the A380, I'm booked with EK to DXB, then I'll be making a couple of stops before I arrive back in AUH to pick up my EY flight. I was considering using the Glitch for a one way, by canceling my EK flight for a $125 fee and fly EK F another time, but chickened out after realizing that AS had no EK F availability past February -March.

If the glitch would have been to a closer place like to Europe I would have taken it, and booked for my whole family, for at least three separate trips

No, but I wrongly assumed 22k earning on the AA miles.. otherwise i'd not have bitten

A fare glitch is god telling me to explore new places. I wish I got JFK-JNB at 275 like one person on FT but its all good.

Where do I credit the non AA segments ?

Don't think that you will be able to split up segments and credit some to AA and some not.

I was planning a trip to jnb for Pesach in economy either way, which is why I jumped on the glitch. The longer travel time made me really consider not taking it, but I figure if after the way there, if it is really not manageable, I'll book a direct return for 40k miles.

I booked it hoping I can upgrade later. Although I probably spend more time the air per year compared to some of the DDF elite... I have not yet gotten addicted to upper classes. I'll fly coach if the destination is enticing.
