Gotta love the yeshivisha writing:

"Abu Dhabi is part of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which is ranked as one of the biggest anti-Semitic countries in the world by the Anti-Defamation League."

If i'm arriving in AUH at 1230 pm and flying out that night at 245 am how much time will i have in Dubai? I know it's an hour each way but does it take a long time to get out of the airport, rent a car etc? How long before the flight do i need to be there.

If your flying to US you have customs in AUH as opposed to when you land in America. Many people miss flights because of it so leave ample time.

+1

From my experience flying through AUH, customs/passport control on the way in was generally no more than 5 min (Except for me, who spent a half hour in an interrogation room, but that a whole 'nother story!), but on the way out to the US, you really do need those two hours. The lines are insane, and this was with me having Global Entry!

Figure with 14 hours on the ground, once you take out two hours back in AUH, at least 30 min dealing with rental car (between rental and return), and 2 hours r/t between the cities, you'll wind up with about 9 hours in Dubai.

Then you aren't going through US Customs Pre-Clearance and Double-Security, so just treat it like you would any other international flight.

if you like a really cool mosque and Ferrari zone, stay in AUH, not much else to do there though.

How would you rate Abu Dhabi as far as safety goes for a clearly orthodox Jew? Do they make any issues with Israeli stamps in a US passport?

They don't make issues, safety ratings are relative

Thanks. Relative meaning...? Is it reasonable? The type of place you wear a baseball cap and tuck in Tzitzis?

My cousin always jokes about how he put on a cap and tucked in his tzitzis as he was about to disembark in AUH, only to be greeted in the terminal by a group of Chassidim decked out in their full regalia.

As if that baseball cap would've helped a pale bearded dude in a polo shirt blend into the United Arab Emirates.

You'll definitely get looks in AD, less so in DXB. I don't think it's a safety issue though.

Go to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi for a few minutes, then go to Dubai and spend 5-6 hours.

Lets hope this leads to EY and EK into  flying into TLV with an A380 (Residence), maybe  even an EK and EY lounge @ TLV?! :P
