It's not all the same. You speak to the company that handles the insurance for your card, IME they don't speak off the cuff. Is also in your benefits guide.
Some cover if you charge at least one full rental day, you might book two days and return after one if there are no issues.

Another way is you might be able to apply the coupon after you drop off, but have not done that.

not sure if it helps, but was really wondering about CSR and Ink Preferred cards.

if no one has personal experience, I think i will just add the CDW coverage to be on the safe side.

CSR covered IME.
IIRC the terms say they don't, although that may be Amex, one of their terms exclude it.

When bringing back a damaged car to hertz do I need to make a claim with amex or does Hertz do that for me?

You have to do now (within 60 days?)
They can not do it, did you file a incident report at Hertz?

Im hoping someone can help me out!
I rented a porsche thru the Lufthansa first class offer on my chase Sapphire reserve.
Upon rental they have you sign a bunch of papers such as that you won't race etc. One of them is a blank page that showed no damage. The car was literally in a pitch black parking lot and it appeared as no damage. When I returned the car 3 hours later they checked it with a magnifying class and claim a minor scratch in a weird place (couldn't have been from an accident). They immediately photographed it and sent me an email with a bill for $600 + today another Pending charge of $400.
Do I have any recourse?
1) I don't think chase reserve covers a Porch?
2) Am I screwed because I signed the paper that has no damage? (it was impossible to see, and the scratch was in such a remote place I probably wouldn't have seen it anyway).
3) It literally appears to be a scam because the car rental return person when directly to the scratch with chalk already in his hand to "circled it", but Im sure there is no way to see if they have charged other people for the same damage?

Rent the same car again and you will find out if they do this same scam again.

Any other options? Try disputing the CC but I'm assuming I will loose because I signed the "no damages"? Should I try filling a claim or will be automatically denied because it is a porsche?
